Description
SVP SPRING GATHERING
Scottsdale, Arizona
Strong and effective leadership within our boards, Partners and staff is one of the most powerful components of SVP’s success in every community. No matter what life stage, or size, leadership is at the core of our impact.
The opportunities for us to take time and collectively and deliberately develop SVP leadership capacities are infrequent, but the SVP Network Office has created just such an opportunity at the Leadership Retreat in Scottsdale, Arizona April 20-21.
At the Leadership Retreat you will grow your own leadership skills and generate ideas to increase leadership within your SVP. The retreat is designed to engage you in new ways. It will be about practice that builds on proven theory. You will not be “talked at” but will talk together. You will morph your “ah-ha” moments into action plans and next steps. You will strengthen your existing connections and forge new connections. Together, we will capitalize on our collective wisdom and knowledge to boost leadership capacity at SVP.
We will build skills to become transformational, relational leaders. Together, we’ll explore, identify and apply:
- leadership strengths of people in the room
- instruments and best practices for getting Partners to raise their hand to lead
- conversational leadership tools useful for all of our interactions
- critical elements and expectations of leadership in a successful SVP
How will this happen in Scottsdale?
This retreat will provide specific, relevant tools and actionable ideas and practices. And, participants will learn from the experience of others in our unique SVP network.
One of our featured presenters is Monique Breault. Monique, an SVP Partner in Portland, is an expert with 25 years of experience in organizational development, leadership development and executive coaching. She received high ratings from both her breakout session and her TED-style Rapid Round presentation at the 2014 SVP Audacious Philanthropy conference.
Imagine the power of your SVP with more leaders working with you side-by-side in your community….
Other networking and learning opportunities during the Leadership Retreat include the Chairs’ Forum, Executive Directors’ Forum and the Staff Forum on April 21. All participants are invited to join SVP Arizona’s annual spring gathering on the evening of Monday, April 20.
